# muna archive

> Archive a compiled model.

The `archive` command archives a compiled model, making it inactive while preserving its data.

## Usage

```bash icon="terminal" theme={null}
$ muna archive TAG
```

| Argument | Description |
| :- | :- |
| `TAG` | Compiled model tag (e.g. `@username/greeting`) |

## Archiving a Compiled Model

```bash icon="terminal" theme={null}
# 🔥 Archive the compiled model
$ muna archive @your-username/greeting
```

When you archive a compiled model:

* The model becomes inactive and cannot be invoked
* The model data and history are preserved
* The model tag becomes available for reuse

<Tip>
  Archiving is useful when you want to temporarily disable a compiled model without permanently
  deleting it.
